Cleansing Tools Bundle

This small bundle includes a South Australian abalone shell, a chunky palo santo stick, a selenite wand and a small white sage stick, providing all the tools to get you started with clearing yourself and your space.

Abalone Shell: These abalone shells have come from Hannah's home state, South Australia, and have a beautiful blue on the outside with an amazing opalescent on the inside.
Working with the abalone shell is not only a practical way to catch the cinders from whatever you are burning, but it also brings the element of water to your ritual or sacred cleansing. By bringing the element of fire, water, earth (with the plant medicine) and the smoke which is carried represents the air, this can be enhanced by fanning with a feather or your own breath.
They are the perfect companion for burning palo santo, or smaller botanical cleansing sticks. You may also choose to use them with charcoal tablets and loose herbs, resins or powders, or placing loose herbs in their on their own. This allows you to also collect what is left behind after you are finished burning.

Tp protect the shell from becoming damaged you can put down some sand, dirt or salt as a barrier. If using sand or dirt I like to return it to the earth. If using salt I return it to the sea as placing salt into the ground can cause serious and long lasting damage to the soil.
Be cautious when handling the shell as any heat may have transferred and abalone shells have small holes that cinders can sometimes fall through.
Please note that these shells are a small shell, roughly 9cm in length.

Palo Santo: Palo Santo, also known as Holy Wood is a sacred tree that grows along the South American coast. Traditionally used by healers and elders in ritual prayer, purification ceremonies and for healing purposes, as the ancient cultures believed the tree had both magical and healing properties. It was, and is still, believed that these properties would only come forth if the tree had been left to live a full life and then experienced respectful death when it was ready. Therefore only wood that came from fallen palo trees that had died naturally and been lying peacefully for an extended period could be harvested for it's sacred healing purposes. For this reason the harvesting of Palo Santo is regulated with the same traditional principles to ensure that the growing demand doesn't lead to the lopping of young trees. Our Palo Santo comes from trees that have fallen naturally and been lying peacefully for 4-10 years and every tree that is used is replaced with a seedling, with the aim of continuously restoring the Palo Santo population.

The wood is believed to create sacred smoke that clears a person or space of negative energies and allow space for positive energy to flow in, similar to the burning of other plant matter. Palo Santo has also been helped to alleviate and clear out physiological ailments such as headaches, stress and anxiety, inflammation, allergies and the common cold.

Selenite: An extremely versatile crystal, Selenite is fantastic for clearing spaces, other tools, and people. Selenite can encourage a sense of protection and clarity in those who engage with it, promotes a sense of calmness and it can clear out any energy slumps, or heaviness that you experience . Selenite it also self cleansing and therefore it doesn't hold onto the negative energy that it clears out. Be mindful not to get your selenite wand wet or it will dissolve.

White Sage: Sacred to many traditional cultures, white sage has been used in clearing and cleansing rituals to dispel negative energy and prepare a space for sacred ritual and ceremony. Not only does it dispel and clear the energetics of a space or a person, but it purifies the air as it does so.

This white sage has been sourced from Sage Dreaming.  Sage Dreaming operates on virgin farm land in the alpine region of Victoria, and has been organically growing and harvesting Grandfather Sage for the last 20 years.
